Microvision


Microvision, Inc. develops miniature display and imaging engines based on integrated photonics module (IPM) in the United States and internationally.

The IPM utilizes two dimensional micro-electrical mechanical system (MEMS) light scanning technologies, lasers, optics, and electronics to create video or still image from a small form factor. Its primary product includes Flic Scanner, a hand-held bar code scanner and Flic Cordless Scanner, a Bluetooth version of the Flic Scanner.

The company also produces various demonstration units using Microvision's display technology. It also develops an integrated photonics module that consists of MEMS scanner, light source module, and electronics to drive the MEMS scanner, and video input and output.

Microvision serves automotive, defense, consumer markets, military, medical, commercial, and the United States government customers. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Redmond, Washington.a

BACKGROUND

ArianeCorp was founded in Singapore in December 1984 as Vikay Industrial Limited. The company's core business was in the marketing and manufacture of Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) and electronics products under the "Vikay" brand. The company also produced customised Liquid Crystal Displays and LCD modules (LCM) for customers in the USA, Europe and Asia.

In July 2004, the Group acquired an integrated 11,119km two-core high bandwidth fibre optic network covering 13 provinces and all principal cities in eastern China. With this, the Group switched its principal activity to that of acting as an independent provider of ultra high-capacity data networks to service providers and large business users in China's telecoms and data markets through optical networks.

The acquisition of a Pan-China fibre network business heralded ArianeCorp's entry into the telecommunications industry. The Pan-China network is inter-connected with global networks of Global Crossing to USA. The trunk network is also inter-connected with metropolitan area networks within the same ducting system to reach target customers in main business and industrial centres of 163 cities in China. The Group was subsequently renamed ArianeCorp Limited in August 2004.

In August 2006, ArianeCorp acquired CarrierNet Corporation Limited, a provider of a spectrum of telephony services ranging from prepaid communications services to wholesale voice traffic. With the acquisition, the Group gained access to CarrierNet's global Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) network as well as the products and services offered by CarrierNet including its own patented VOIP service, "VoiceBB", as well as wholesale carrier, retail international direct dial and global calling card products and services.

BACKGROUND
The Company was incorporated in Bermuda on 7 September 2004 under the name Pine Agritech Limited.

Pine Agritech is principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of soybean-based products such as Soy Protein Isolates (“SPI”), Soybean Oil and Soy Oligosaccharide Syrup (“SOS”). Other by-products derived from the production of the three main products are sold as animal feeds.

SPI is mostly sold to processed meat companies as food ingredient. SOS is produced using proprietary manufacturing process. SOS is sold under the Group’s Tian Song brand and also directly to beverage makers as health promoting ingredient.

The Group operates three production plants in China, one in Shandong Province, and two in Heilongjiang Province. Its plants in Heilongjiang Province allow easy access to abundant supply of high quality non-genetically modified soybeans.

The vertically integrated facilities in Shandong province produce both upstream and downstream products. This enables the Group to maximise the use of soybeans, better manage the cost, supply and quality of key raw material, defatted soy flakes, and enjoy other economies of scale benefits.

BACKGROUND
The Company was incorporated in Singapore on 11 December 1986 under the name Meiban Plastic Pte Ltd. It commenced operations in May 1987. It produces injection moulded plastic products for multinational customers in the consumers electronics and computer sectors in the electronic industry, eg. plastic parts in audio, video and hi-fi equipment and personal computers, printers and computer keyboards. Some of Meiban's major customers include major players like Hewlett-Packard Singapore, Matsushita Electronics, Pioneer Electronics Asiacentre, Sanyo Electronics, JVC Electronics and Trio-Kenwood Singapore.

In 1997, the Group moved to its own new premises, Meiban Industrial Building. In 1998, it started operations in Shanghai, China and in Malaysia in 1999. The Company changed its name to Meiban Group Ltd wef 10 January 2001.
